The Department of Basic Sciences and Islamiat is one of the important departments of NWFP University of Engineering and Technology. It provides support to all technologies and disciplines of the University and meets requirements of engineering disciplines in importing basic sciences education.
Mission The Department's mission is to help in producing Engineers with a strong background knowledge of basic sciences. The faculty members are highly qualified, majority of them having M.Phil qualification while three of them hold Ph.D qualification. Three faculty members are currently pursuing their Ph.D studies. The courses of Pakistan Studies and Islamiat are taught with the objectives to inculcate honesty and patriotism in the students.
