The Department of Basic Sciences and Islamiat is one of the important departments of NWFP University of Engineering and Technology. It provides support to all technologies and disciplines of the University and meets requirements of engineering disciplines in importing basic sciences education.
Laboratories The Department has well-equipped laboratories in the following areas, which help students to get better understanding of theoretical knowledge gained in the class room:
Computer programming course was introduced in the Academic session 1982-83. The following courses are taught; C, C++, and Visual Basic.
Professional courses are also conducted in the laboratory, including Java, Database management, E-commerce Visual C++ and project Management etc.
