Laboratories

Practical work in laboratories forms an essential part of the curriculum. Almost all subjects taught are augmented by practicals in the laboratories. The Department has a boiler lab, an automobile/ heat-engine lab, refrigeration lab, heat transfer laboratory, metallurgy laboratory, computer laboratory. Recently a rapid proto-typing machine has been added to the department laboratories. In the area of production/ manufacturing, facilities include conventional and CNC machine tools. Latest laborites for Mechatronics include robotics laboratory, instrumentation laboratory, advance CAD/CAM laboratory, and Mechatronics Design Laboratory.

Computing Facilities

The Department has well-equipped computer laboratories with networked Pentium-IV PCs. Latest CAD and simulation software prepare the students to be well versed with current computer applications.
