As Chairman Council of Vice Chancellors, NWFP and VC NWFP UET Engr. Syed Imtiaz Hussain Gilani has expressed deepest condolence on behalf of all vice chancellors of NWFP universities over the death of Dr. Safdar Ali Kayani, Pro-Vice Chancellor, University of Balochistan who was shot dead yesterday.
In his message to the deceased’s family and UoB’s administration, he said that it is an irreparable loss to the nation; no words can solace and fill the void. We as academicians are the upholders of character building of nation; this incident is a big shock for the academic community.
He also prayed for the departed soul of late Kayani to rest in eternal peace and for courage to the members of bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.
